Deepest Meaning
 [Alternative rock band from Sunderland]

Act Name:
A: Deepest Meaning

NEM: OK, your music drives, so where is your act going?...
A:
Erm....Well atm we are concentrating on building a local basis and getting a small name for ourselves before venturing further a field.

NEM: Do you write any material yourselves?...
A:
We play all of our own material. We currently have about 10-15 of our own songs.

NEM: Describe your act/music in detail…
A:
Distortion driven guitar, with hints of delay. Fancy bass lines that work hand in hand with the guitar. Original and complex beats that hold everything together. Topped off with melodic vocals and emotional lyrics. And now and again it gets a bit heavy.

NEM: Who or what influences your act?...
A:
Everything. From Primus to Biffy Clyro. From Funeral For A Friend to Jeff Buckley. From Deftones to The Jam.

NEM: There is usually one song gets things going, is this true for your act?...
A:
Yes we have a song called "A Game Called Life" which really gets us and the crowd in the mood. Many people have requested if we would put this track onto our debut EP. Which will be released in May, hopefully.

NEM: Do you have an agent, manager, or diy?...
A:
We are currently considering the prospect of a manger/agent. Though we are currently being helped strongly by Dave Redfern and Future Beat Productions
.

NEM: What is the furthest distance you have travelled to a gig?...
A: As we are new the music scene we have only really played in Sunderland & Newcastle. Like we said before we are aiming to establish ourselves in the north-east first.

NEM: Computers & Music, any comments?...
A:
Its the future. Go with the flow.

NEM: Who is your closest rival?...
A: I wouldn't call them rivals but we are constantly being matched to Hoax & Hucked.

NEM: Do you have a favourite venue in the N/E area?...
A:
Bar36. Very professional and the best venue in Sunderland by a long way.

NEM: What happened to make your worst gig hell?...
A:
Nothing went right. We played the borough in Sunderland and everything that could have possibly went wrong did. Georges bass dropped out. PA was cutting up constantly. Jackson blew one of the speakers in his amp and Ben put his snare skin through. Nightmare.

NEM: Name the equipment supplier that has given the best advice/help…
A:
Howards Bass place or Martin Smith (Schmooooooo)

NEM: Have you any suggestions for the NEM website?...
A:
No we are already on lol...........maybe a forum or individual band bios.

NEM: Where can anyone contact you?...
A:
They can email us at deepestmeaning@hotmail.com .
