SEVEN HEROES are a four-piece Indie/Rock Band based in Sunderland. They formed at the turn of 2005 playing original material in local bars, clubs and pubs. Renowned for their energetic stage performance and song writing ability, they have built a following and seem to impress wherever they go
When the music kicks in you could think this band were a cross between Coldplay and Roosters, Different they certainly are the full impact of the guitar intro certainly had us wide awake and captivated with the meaning of the words and the timely fret work or the rhythm guitars and solid bass during the  guitar made the hairs on our necks tingle, the multi vocals complementing the lead vocals this band could go far if they given the right break. We were impressed with the talent and creativity of their song writing not just with this piece but their other songs featured on their website. A thumbs up here as this was our first time coming across the band, but it certainly won’t be the last.

EP: "Layne - Anyone"
ARTISTE: "LAYNE"

DATE of CD: 2005

BAND: Rory - Guitar/Vocals
           Matt - Drums
           Danny - Bass

The most notable thing about any 'LAYNE' track is how full the overall sound is, with clever use of detail, depth and colour the band really do sound massive...
Kicking off after the neat intro 'ANYONE' drops onto the listeners' audio lap and immediately states the class of this awesome band, a riffy rock song with lots of colour changes and passages. I particularly like the solo's as although Rory can wilddly - diddly with the best of them these guitar passages are brilliant in their construction and reference to the track.
A drop in pace for the moody opening to 'SUCKER' another great piece of writing with this track and another instantly "I love it" kind of song, it's amazing how you can get into Layne songs at first listen.
'POINTLESS CASTLE' rips out of the studio speakers at a pace before dropping into the crafted vocal, intermittent bursts of power accompany the singing till the track develops with more changes in phrasing and power.
If you thought the last track had pace then hold on to your mullet for a very 'LIVE' version of 'TEENAGE LOBOTOMY' a quick burst of this straight forward rock classic to get you in the mood for Layne's next gig...Be there.
The CD is very, very professionally written, performed and mixed, keeping Layne as the top rock outfit at this time. I don't expect to get any more CDs from them as they MUST be signed up soon, all three are massively talented and the songs are brilliant...so get to see them and buy their music...
